Welcome to GEMaffair. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. Since an informed buyer is a satisfied buyer, we want to make you intimately aware of our policies. After anticipating as many of your questions as possible, based on our Eleven years of experience online, we've gathered all the information you could possibly need in this detailed policy page. Purchasing one of our items means you're aware of and agree to our terms.

We gratefully receive 100's of orders and receive 100's of e-mails every day. Each and every customer is important to us. By following the easy steps outlined below, you'll help us ensure your order is processed quickly and accurately. We're committed to a serious, long-term relationship.

Payment Methods

CREDIT CARDS: We gladly accept credit cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. See "International Orders" below for recommended payment methods.

MONEY ORDERS: We gladly accept money orders by snail mail. United States Postal Service money orders are preferred. They are the easiest to verify and process. This will help speed up your order processing.

CHECKS: We don't accept personal checks under any circumstances. This isn't a reflection on you but, rather, the unfortunate reality of Florida banks placing an automatic ten-business day hold on all out-of-state checks. Again, our goal is to continue to offer you the lowest possible prices and such a long lead-time on funds would definitely drive up our prices.

LATE PAYMENT OR NON-PAYMENT: Prompt payment is appreciated and benefits both of us. The faster we receive your payment, the sooner we can ship your item so you can start showing it off. Plus, it ensures your item stays reserved and is available to ship promptly once payment is received. Prompt payment also means we can continue to offer you the same outstanding selection and unbeatable prices you've come to expect.

Regardless of method, payment is on-time if received within 7 days of your order. Because our success depends on volume and fast-turnaround, we have no choice but to return your reserved item to stock if payment is not received within 7 days.

Domestic Shipping

All packages are shipped in a gift box ready for gift-wrapping. We use United States Post Office for all shipments. Priority Mail is our preferred method, but higher valued packages may be shipped via Registered Mail. Most overnight packages are processed the same day when payment is received by 9 a.m. Others will ship the next business day. See "International Shipping and Payment" below for details on how we ship outside the U.S.

We offer UNLIMITED items, ONE shipping charge. Domestic Priority Mail starts at $6.95. Overnight starts at $19.95. Some items may be higher. INSURANCE is included with ALL packages.

Domestic includes the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico, APO's, FPO's and most U.S. Possessions.

International Shipping

We offer UNLIMITED items, ONE shipping charge. International shipping starts at $27.95. Where available, Express/Overnight starts at $49.95.

International packages are sent via United States Postal Service Air Mail, Global Priority or Registered Mail depending on your location and package value. Generally, most countries are 5-8 business days from the U.S. For specific shipping times, please visit usps.com.

International includes anywhere outside the United States. Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, APO's, FPO's and most U.S. Possessions are domestic shipments.

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING CUSTOMS AND DUTIES: GEMaffair only sells new merchandise with the retail price tag still attached. You are responsible for any "importation fees" or "duty" your country may impose. For your convenience we remove the price tags on International shipments to ensure you only pay duty based on the invoiced amount. For specific customs, duties and tariff information please contact the customs agency in your country.

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING ORDERS SHIPPING TO CANADA: Canada customs strictly enforces importation regulations. All Canadian orders will be declared at their full purchase price. We have no authority to make any exceptions to this. For more information regarding this, please contact:

Insurance is included in all shipments.Claims are filed by us on your behalf and we manage the process. We are at the mercy of the shipping company policies when it comes to claims. We have yet to have a legitmate claim turned down.

This insurance covers the initial shipment from us to you against damage during shipment or non-delivery. Please save any damaged shipping containers if you intend to file a claim.

30-day Return Policy

GEMaffair gladly offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. That's why we personally write every ad, going to great lengths to provide accurate, full-detail descriptions including sizes, weights, colors, clarity, cut and precise measurements. We typically provide two photos and, on the more elaborate and higher value items, as many as four or five. All of our gemstones are 100% natural unless otherwise stated, and that's on very rare occasions.

We'd much rather address any questions or concerns BEFORE you buy an item. GEMaffair wants you to be madly in love with your purchase so you keep coming back. And tell your family. And all your friends. Maybe even complete strangers. If you have questions about your purchase, please call 1-800-471-GEMS.

We realize that, despite our elaborate efforts to help you make the best possible selection, there may be times when you will not be 100% satisfied with your purchase for whatever reason. If that should happen, simply send an e-mail to returns@gemaffair.com within 30 days of receiving the item and tell us you'd like to return it. We'll promptly issue you a Return Authorization (RA) number. Then return the item in new condition, tags still attached and in the orignal packaging. We'll issue you a FULL refund no questions asked. Outbound shipping fees are not refundable. If you received free outbound shipping promotion, we will deduct actual outbound shipping charges from your refund. Items sized or altered in any way are not returnable. An RA number is required for all returns.

In the unfortunate event you receive an item with a defect, or the wrong item, we'll be happy to repair it, replace it or refund your money. Simply notify us by e-mail immediately and follow the same return process as outlined in the above paragraph except, all shipping charges would be our responsibility since it was our mistake. Wrong items must be returned within 7 business days. As with all returns, an RA number will be required.

Obviously any item that is customized (sizing, engraving, other) cannot be returned for any reason at any time as we are not able to resell it after customization.

Errors and Ommissions

We manage more than a 10 million fields of data and more than 150,000 products across multiple websites. We strive for 110% accuracy in our inventory and offerings. However, we are human and humans make mistakes. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse to sell any product listed in error, whether the product was mispriced, not in stock, not available or size or measurement were stated incorrectly. We would of course refund you any money you spent as a result of our mistake. We apologize if this has happened to you. It happens very rarely, but it does happen. Soon as we figure out how to never make a mistake, we will let you know! Right now we strive for very few! Thank you for your understanding!

Product Weights and Measurements

We manage more than a 10 million fields of data and more than 150,000 products across multiple websites from more than 20 manufacturers. We strive for 110% accuracy in our inventory and offerings. However, items weights and measurements are often limited by the product setting and manufacturing process. Many times the weights and or measurements can be off by as much as 15%. This is not intentional and should not effect the value of the item as the true expense is in the design and production of the items, not in the elements. We apologize if you receive a product that is not exactly as described. It happens very rarely, but it does happen. We strive to make everything exact where possible.

Integrity and security are core values at GEMaffair. Under no circumstances will we share or sell your personal information with anyone outside of our company for any reason without your written permission.

Navigational information is only used to better serve you and continually improve your online shopping experience with Gem Affair. Transactional information such as account or credit card numbers, billing and ship-to address are used only to process and deliver your orders. Rest assured that this information resides on secure, private servers safe from would-be information thieves.

While we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may be required by law to disclose personal information to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process. Under no other circumstances will we share your information.

We continually analyze information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, and number of clicks to generally track user movement, analyze trends and gather broad demographic information. This information is used in aggregate to make sure you continue to find everything you're looking for at GEMaffair.com. This information is not linked to personally identifiable users.

With your permission, we periodically send out notifications of new items or special promotions to our valued customers. In full compliance with all Can-Spam Act requirements, all communications clearly identify GEMaffair as the sender and specify what we are promoting. Every communication also includes the ability to simply click on an unsubscribe link to opt-out of our mailing lists. It is not our intent or desire to send e-mail specials to anyone who does not wish to receive them.

Your personal information is protected offline, within our offices, as well as online. All Gem Affair employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.

If your personal account information changes (name, address, phone, e-mail, postal address), you can easily update it by logging into "My Account" located at the top right of any page.

Protecting your privacy is a key priority at GEMaffair. We may periodically make changes of this privacy policy to meet new or changing requirements and improve security measures. Please feel free to check back frequently and learn of any updates to this policy.
